Sustainable Lafayette Film Series Summer 2016

We are pleased to announce the 6th annual Summer Film Series at the Lafayette Library. The first film is “Catching the Sun,” on Tuesday, July 12th. Starts at 6:30 in the Community Hall of the Lafayette Library.

An unemployed American worker, a Tea Party activist, and a Chinese solar entrepreneur race to lead the clean energy future. Who wins and who loses the battle for power in the 21st century?

Actor/activist Mark Ruffalo says this about the film: “An eye-opening look at workers and entrepreneurs on the forefront of the clean energy movement that will transform and enliven the way you see the future. What is clear is the wonderful opportunity the transition to clean energy represents.”

A $10 donation is requested, $5 for students, and cookies, snacks, coffee and beverages will be served.

We are thrilled to thank Marin Clean Energy for generously sponsoring the 2016 Film Series. The City of Lafayette has joined MCE to give electric customers the option to purchase more renewable electricity as an alternative to PG&E’s energy supply.
