Lafayette Community Garden - Explore the Natural Beauty of the Pease Family Trail

Sun, September 25, 2016

Sunday, September 25, 3pm-4:30pm, Lafayette Community Garden, 3932 Mt Diablo Blvd (across from and just west of Lafayette Reservoir)

Join science teacher Janet Thomas for a talk and a short walk along the Pease Family Nature trail, located at the back of the Lafayette Community Garden along Lafayette Creek. We will discuss the history of the area and talk about some of the most common plants and animals that live along East Bay's many creeks. Time permitting, we will venture to the other side of the creek to observe some of the same plants and animals that border the neighboring Costa Trail. This event is open to all ages and the walk is not strenuous. *Booklets for self-guided tours of the Pease Family Trail is available to the public during garden open hours: Tuesday 4:00-7:00PM, Thursday 9am-12pm, Saturday 9am-1pm. Our classes are free. However, a $5 donation is appreciated to support our education programs. www.lafayettecommunitygarden.org
